ARUBA

I've been in the Caribbean for a month now with DF, visiting his parents in Curacao, an island that is part of the Netherlands Antilles. We had a short trip to Aruba recently and it was just the perfect break we needed! Our flight to Aruba was on a tiny 15-seater prop plane which took around 40 minutes (also the smallest plane I have ever been one ..it was rather nerve wrecking for me actually) but luckily we caught a bigger plane back to Curacao and the flight duration was only 10 minutes =).

Vinpearl Land - Nha Trang

I have been back in my home country, Vietnam, for 2 weeks now and I spent 10 of those days at Vinpearl Resort in Nha Trang so far. It was my 3rd time at the resort and like previous years, I went with family except this time my DF joined us. The weather there is so much nicer compared to the humid and extremely hot weather in Hanoi that I feel like I'm in a different country. I am back in Hanoi now and can't wait to visit Vinpearl again next summer!

For those of you who haven't been before or have not heard of it, Vinpearl is a 5-star luxury resort located on Hon Tre island, Nha Trang. It has the biggest pool in South East Asia, its own private beach, recreational park and longest cable car line over the sea in the world as well as many other awesome amenities. Out of all the resorts I've been to, Vinpearl is my favourite. It has everything that one would like to enjoy in summer: the sand, the sun, the cool wind and ofcourse, the beach =). Highly recommended!

Graduation

My graduation ceremony took place yesterday at 10am. Knowing my luck, the weather was extremely cold and rainy but luckily everything went smoothly. My dear Mum took time out of her busy schedule for a trip to Sydney to share this special day with me and DF also took time off from work...they really made my day! =). This was my last big event before I start my long 8 months journey overseas with DF during which I will be visiting many countries/cities. I ammmmm so excited I can hardly wait!!!

Christian Louboutin's 20th Anniversary

Last night I attended the launch of Christian Louboutin's 20th Anniversary Limited Edition capsule collection at Westfield, Sydney. The boutique was filled with beautiful and colourful shoes, 8 of which are from Louboutin's 20ans capsule collection, referencing classic styles from his archives. The style that stood out to me the most was the Pensée (available in Pink and Yellow at Sydney CL boutique), the shoe that sparked the red sole signature. The oversized flower on the ankle strap gives a whimsical feel to this pump which I absolutely adore!!! 

I tried on both the pink and yellow Pensée and the pink version was a winner! The last is the same as the Pigalle and I feel most comfortable in these at 100mm. The 120mm proves to be a challenge as is the Pigalle 120 which I also have but sadly do not wear much. 

Enamel bangles

I have always wanted to wear bangles because they are a nice change to the type of bracelets that I usually wear, however, my small wrist prevented me from wearing them and I rarely find one that doesn't slip off (except for some Louis Vuitton bangles). Recently my obsession with enamel bangles grew ever since Sal Y Limon beautifully made bangles caught my attention. They are not only unique in their own way but also come in many different colours and designs which I absolutely adore!!! Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any online shopping site that actually stock them and also ship to Australia, but I have found a few other designers whose designs are just as fantastic. A few of them are still on their way to me but I have just received my first set of bangles by SEQUIN today which came from Nordstrom.

 I also received a bangle by Etrusca last week which will also be shown in this post. You may have seen them on Chiara of The Blonde Salad. This bangle is very beautiful but it is quite big on me so I am not sure if I am going to keep it or not yet.

Photos from my Europe trip

I have been back in Sydney for over 2 months now but did not have the time to properly update my blog til now. At the end of November, I traveled back to my home country, Vietnam, for 3 weeks to visit my family and then spent another 2 weeks in Europe. My Europe trip was fantastic! London weather was much nicer than I expected and I could not have hoped for anything better in Paris.

I arrived in London on 20th of December (which was also my birthday), met up with my Mum, sister and uncle who flew in from Vietnam and we had a family reunion with our relatives who we have not seen for years. During our first few days in London, we visited Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle..etc..and early morning on 23/12, we boarded the EuroStar to Paris Gare du Nord and had the most fantastic 5 days in Paris. Lots of shopping, exciting Christmas atmosphere and beautiful sights.
