Île de Porquerolles

A spontaneous trip took us to Île de Porquerolles, the largest of the three islands in Îles d'Hyères and a hidden gem on the French Riviera. To get to the island, we drove for 2 hours from Nice to Hyères, hopped on a ferry which took around 15 minutes and biked for another 15-20 minutes from the port to our destination: Plage de Notre-Dame. During summer, there is a ferry every 30 minutes. Hyères is a lot closer to St.Tropez than Nice so if you plan to depart from St.Tropez, there are also boats from there to Île de Porquerolles in high season.

Plage de Notre-Dame is definitely our favourite out of the few beaches we went to during our time in Cote d'Azur as it is a sandy beach and the whole island has a very natural tropical feel.
